The Advanced Search extension suite brings professional search features
to the Joomla! 1.0.x platform for the first time. Advanced Search extends the
power of the default Joomla search engine and gives you the ability to
narrow your search results to specific content types such as
categories, articles, events, etc...
Features
The real power of Advanced Search lies in its ability to dynamicly
accommodate new content types (called 'search mambots' or 'search
plugins') as they become available. Once a new search mambot/plugin is
installed and published it is immediatley detected and utilized by
Advanced Search. In addition, Advanced Search is a seperate component
from the default Joomla! search engine and thus no 'hacking' is
required for its use (unlike other customized search solutions for
Joomla!).

Search Module - standard search module (specific mambots can be pre-selected in the module parameters)

Selector Module - search module allow users to quickly search one
mambot or all mambots using a drop-down menu of all available mambots
